styles of yoga i teach

vinyasa flow

Vinyasa flow is a dynamic and energetic style of yoga, which focuses on linking movement and breath.  After integration and warm-up, the sequence works up to a flow of poses that will challenge the body and create more space and stillness in the mind.

My Vinyasa sequences are inspired by Baron Baptiste's Journey into Power, an empowering system of yoga for total body transformation.

nupower + sculpt yoga

NuPower or Sculpt Yoga is designed to create balanced strength and flexibility in the body and mind.  The practice brings together traditional yoga principles with modern strength training and cardio intervals.  A typical NuPower or Sculpt class is 60 minutes, covering high energy, low impact movement with weights linked together by Vinyasa flow sequences.  If you love Power Vinyasa and are looking to take your practice and strength to the next level, this is for you!

Mandala vinyasa

Mandala Vinyasa is a creative practice that moves in a 360-degree pattern on the mat. Each practice is based on one of the fundamental four elements (Earth, Water, Air, Fire) dictated by the Mayan calendar and each element brings a specific energetic focus as well as highlights a key target area of the body. Mandala Flows tend to be dynamic and rhythmic, but the intensity is well balanced with Yin-like holds in postures that open and close the practice. A wonderful style for experienced yogis looking to express themselves more uniquely on the mat.

yin yoga

The perfect practice to balance out the increasingly busy lives that we all seem to live. Yin gives space for us to slow down, and most importantly, to become still. Each practice includes just a handful of postures that are held for a few minutes at a time, with the support of an array of props. Postures aim to release connective tissue and to clear energetic meridians lines through the body. A quiet practice that aims to restore us physically, mentally and energetically. Suitable for yogis of all levels who are open to practicing the art of stillness.
